August 8, 2011 to August 11, 2011 • 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (lunch will be provided)Macomb Intermediate School District, 44001 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MIThe Michigan Department of Education, in collaboration with the Wayne County Regional Education Agency (WRESA), Great Lakes East, and the Center for Applied Linguistics, is providing an opportunity for a Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol workshop to district teams (2-3 members) of English as a Second Language (ESL) and general education educators who work with English Language Learners (ELLs). School district teams should be willing to:
Purpose: Learn and apply the 8 SIOP components with fidelity. | Educator Evaluation ISD Key Contact Training July 12; 8:30 am-3:30 pm Location: MELG Building, Lansing Join selected researchers and labor relations specialists from MSU School of Human Resources and Labor Relations and the Education Alliance of Michigan for this free training. Presenters, who are also co-developers of the Employee Evaluation Toolkit, will: Answer questions about the contents of the Toolkit and Walk through the process of designing a collaborative educator evaluation model as outlined in the Education Alliance Toolkit.
