Forecasting the Future

A number of years ago, I wrote about the elusiveness of predicting the weather with the help of a furry animal. I’m not sure what kind of weather you experienced on Ground Hog Day, but mid-Michigan was hit with its biggest snowstorm so far this season. And, yes, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter. We weren’t surprised. Not that I would count on a ground hog to predict the future. I know there is one thing we can count on and that is what we choose today concerning our professional development does forecast our future. And it can have an impact on Michigan’s students.

MIEM offers many professional development opportunities for you. These workshops and seminars will help you develop the skills you need to be an educational leader. The forecast is very clear – MIEM is here to help you in designing, planning, and implementing quality programs for all students. I see fair weather and sunny days ahead.
