Technology infrastructure contracting for the school district, evaluating the cost benefits of producing information in relation to organizational value, and ensuring that appropriate security is maintained will also be discussed.

Accounting Manual/Chart of Accounts

Grant Writing

This session will cover the basics of grant seeking and grant writing, including information on sources of funds. Single Records Student Database

Location: LCC West, Lansing
Data submitted by school districts via the Single Record Student Database (SRSD) include discrete information about individual students such as age, gender, race and ethnicity and program participation. The data collected via the SRSD will be used to meet the reporting requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, including the determination of Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).  This session will review each data field and discuss the need for quality data and help attendees avoid data submission errors.

Financial Information Database
February 28, 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Location: LCC West, Lansing
Each fall, districts use the Center for Educational Performance and Information's Financial Information Database application to submit information from their annual financial reports, balance sheets, revenues, district expenditures and school expenditures. Also, indirect costs will be reviewed. This session will help you understand the data that was already submitted and how it is being used.

School Infrastruture Database (SID)/School Code Master (SCM)
February 28, 12:45 pm - 4:00 pm
Location: LCC West, Lansing
The School Infrastructure Database contains information about technology (hardware, networks, connectivity, distance learning, etc.) and school structure (physical construction, capacity and use elements). Crime and safety data is also been included. Come to this session and learn what data should be entered into each field and how you can avoid any errors in submission.
