Redefining Literacy For The 21st Century Location: Macomb ISD, 44001 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp, MI 48038 February 28, 2007, 8 am – 3:30 pm This day-long session for middle and high school teachers and administrators will present an updated look at adolescent brain research, as well as a look at the demands of the global workplace and what is beyond the traditional content area strategies. 2007 Michigan School Testing Conference Assessment in the K-12 Learning Environment Conference Schedule & Information Location: Kensington Court Hotel, Ann Arbor February 26 – 28, 2007 The conference format will consist of workshops on Monday, February 26 with general and clinic sessions on February 27 and 28. Monday workshop participants will have the option of choosing among the following three topics:
On Tuesday, February 27, hear from Tom Clay, Citizens Research Council of Michigan and Jeremy Hughes, Deputy State Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer. Mr. Nolan Finley, from The Detroit News, will speak on Wednesday. There will be 18 clinics on both Tuesday and Wednesday which will address practical assessment issues facing schools today.
