Message from Your Executive Director

This is the last issue of The MIEM Connection for the 2007-2008 school year. As our MIEM Team looks back over this year, we see that it has been extremely busy; and from your feedback, a productive and successful year. Our participation numbers have reached new levels, which says that our efforts to meet your needs during challenging times is a goal that we have reached. To that end, our planning for next year has resulted in the development of the 2007-2008 MIEM Calendar and summer planning to make sure everything is in place and ready to go when you return this fall.

The MIEM Calendar along with a MIEM membership application and membership information packets will be going out to you in your districts before the end of May. It is important to note that a district membership gives all district team members the discounted rate to MIEM events. This results in great savings to events that will support certification programs, tools to help individuals and information needed to help create schools that help all students achieve.

On behalf of our hard working and committed team, I want to thank you for your participation during this past school year. I look forward to seeing many of you throughout this upcoming school year. May the rest of this school year go smoothly, moving into a productive, safe and recharging time this summer.

Sincerely,

Daniel G. Pappas
MIEM Executive Director
